Experience Qalipu, Parks Canada and the Gros Morne Institute for Sustainable Tourism co-host A Taste of the Great OutdoorsJune 11, 2017 Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse, Rocky Harbour—130 guests enjoyed a meet and greet sharing circle, teachings and stories by Mi’kmaq interpreters Kevin Barnes and Sarah Leah Hindy, and a musical performance with special guest Kayla Stride of Eastern Owl. Visitors ended the evening with a tasty helping (or 2!) of salmon they helped Chef Alain Bosse prepare on planks in the fire with simple ingredients, and a tasty side of root vegetables prepared with the locally-loved flavour of summer savory.
